I met Clift Bridges at the Fort Worth PICK-n-PULL. I was helping my son secure a junkyard part for his 1998 Camry when Clifton walk in the room. His Shaquille O’Neal size and bright orange jump suit commanded the room. Clift had been a fork lift operator for a pharmaceutical company and now works the junk yard. I introduced myself and asked about his dreams. “One day, I want to be rich. Then I could share what I have with those less fortunate than me.”
I saw Voodoo Flowers leaning on a vintage Cadillac on set of an LA music video shoot. His arms were crossed and a massive Cadillac ring embraced his knuckles. Flower’s vintage hot-rod was on standby to play the supporting rolling in the video. I felt it was safer bet to ask about his car instead of the origin of his name, so I did. “I built that car in my driveway.” He said. “It made me pretty nervous when the cast was driving her earlier today. Nobody drives my car.”
It was an honor to chat with Elmer Towns. Elmer is co-founder of Liberty University and has written nearly 100 books (required reading in college). He didn’t flinch when I snapped this photo, instead, he gently smiled. I’m not sure, but I think he might have been playing Ruzzle.
